Many businesses, as well as private individuals, run events for one reason or another. For private individuals, a wedding is one of the biggest events in their lives, if not the biggest, and as you may well know, at Kenza Creations they are the mainstay of our business.

However, there are plenty of other events that we create the décor for, such as Halloween parties, dinners, end-of year parties, annual general meetings, and many more, all of which need to present a certain tone.

For instance, you may be a business owner about to float your business on the stock market and you have invited a lot of potential investors to a dinner or a meeting to persuade them to join in. In this sort of a situation, you want the venue to exude wealth, along with the expertise that has brought your business to where it is today.

Rich Trappings And Colours

So, you would want the venue decorated using rich trappings and colours – lots of gold and silver perhaps. You want to subtly persuade those potential buyers that your company is worth investing their money in and that they will get a good return when they do. Much the same applies to an AGM when you want to impress your shareholders.

If you understand the tone and atmosphere that you wish to create, then it will make choosing a theme much easier. Do you want an event that is formal, or perhaps more casual and relaxed? Maybe you want an atmosphere that is lively or perhaps you want to create one that they find intriguing because it makes suggestions or makes them ask questions of themselves – that you can answer in an after-dinner speech for instance.

As event decorators, at Kenza Creations we can produce the type of décor that you need to achieve a specific goal. You have to be specific when it comes to your goals. What impression do you want to convey? What action do you want your guests to take? The best idea is to ask yourselves these questions and then work backwards in order to see what would lead them to go in the direction that you wish.

You also need to consider the venue because no two venues are identical. Some may be large and airy like a ballroom. Others more confined. The lighting can also have a considerable impact. All of these things need to be acknowledged and taken into account.
