Planning a wedding is by no means an easy task. There are just so many different things to consider, not the least of which is your budget.
But probably the most difficult of all is your guest list. There are a couple of things to take into consideration, one of which is the venue. If you have already decided upon your venue, then you are limited by the number of people it can accommodate. Even if you have not yet decided upon the venue and plan on doing it the other way around, choosing the guests and then finding a venue which can hold them all, you still need to remember your budget.
In theory, it would be nice to invite everyone you know, but in most cases that is not logical, for the simple reason that you know a lot of people. So, the first thing to do is to create your dream list of everyone that you might invite, and then start to pare it down. First, underline or colour all those people on the list who must be invited. Of course, the list has to include all those people from both the bride’s and the groom’s side.
Once you have chosen the “must haves” you can create a second list of the others. This will now contain the names of people who it would be nice to have there but are not critical.
Then send out the invitations to the first list and wait for replies. There will be those who may not attend, for one reason or another, and then this gives you some scope for inviting those from the second list.
Catering And Venue Decor
Your budget also has to take into account the catering and the venue décor. It is to be a glittering occasion, so the wedding reception decorations are a critical part of the occasion. Flowers are an obvious necessity for most wedding receptions, but there are so many other things that you can do using drapes, lighting, candles, and so on.
