Your wedding is the most important day of your life and building up to it can be a long process if you are going to have a really big do with all of your family and friends invited. There are just so many things to take into consideration that you need to make a list and then make sub-lists so that you don’t miss anything out.

One of the major issues is just how many people you invite. Indian weddings are very often big events, and it is not unusual for there to be more than 500 guests, but your wedding has to take into account your budget, unless you are so wealthy that it is not a consideration, and with most people that is not the case.

You are also limited by the size of your venue because quite obviously you cannot have more guests than your venue can handle. So, the trick here is to make two lists, one of which is people who have to be there at all costs, and a second list which is people who are friends or more distant family but are not essential. Of course, there are two sides to this because you have the families of both the bride and the groom, so the best way to do it is to divide equally between bride and groom families and make two lists – one from each side.

When you both have your “A” lists you can send out invitations to them at least a couple of months in advance. As you get replies coming in you can tick them off the “A” lists. There may be some people who cannot attend for one reason or another, and then you can start adding people from your “B” list and inviting those. This way, you won’t exceed either the capacity of your venue or your budget.

Wedding Decor

Another major consideration is, of course, wedding décor. Again, you have to work within your budget, but you would be surprised at the amazing décor that we can produce at Kenza Creations on quite a small budget. You need to make an appointment so that we can sit down with you and understand any special requirements you have regarding the room décor and the wedding table décor. Both are equally important.

If we have not created the décor at your wedding venue before, we will also need to visit it in order to assess the possibilities.
