Your wedding day is the most important day of your life. Well, it is for most people. Sure, there are a few couples who go to the register office, get a piece of paper, and then go for a couple of drinks with half a dozen friends, but for the vast majority it is a major celebration. This is especially true of Indian weddings, with celebrations that can go on for days.
So, it follows that the reception in the vast majority of weddings is going to be one big party, with lots of food and drink, singing, dancing, speeches, more singing and dancing, and will often go on into the early hours.
Wherever you are holding your reception, there are three major factors to consider: the food, the drink, and the décor. This is the sort of reaction that all of our décor work is aimed at: it has to be the biggest, the best, and the most stunningly spectacular.
Flowers In Season
Your wedding table décor can be designed in so many different possible ways. Flowers, yes, but they can be minimalist or overflowing, as you choose. One very good tip for keeping expenses down is to use British flowers that are in season. We have some amazing flowers in our countryside, and many others that are grown in nurseries here. By using these when they are in season it will be a lot less expensive than using something that has to be flown in from abroad.
If you are having long tables that will seat perhaps a dozen guests each side, you can use a long garland that covers the whole length of the tables as wedding centrepieces. OK, that will take a fair number of flowers, but the appearance will be breathtaking.
But you don’t necessarily have to use flowers. You could use glass lanterns filled with twinkling fairy lights. You might choose tall candelabras that hold five candles – and the candles don’t have to be white. You can change them around to fit in with your overall colour scheme.
